History of SAESCO

SAESCO Medical was founded in 2009 in Barcelona with the goal of becoming a key player in the growing space of Obesity and Metabolic related Medical Devices. With a combined experience of more than 20 years in the clinical field, the founding team saw a lack of advanced Medical Devices to be used in the treatment of Obesity, with a clear focus on Less Invasive, Endoluminal approaches.

Since its inception, the company’s goal has been to identify, select and bring the best medical technologies to market, fostering their adoption and growth by providing superior customer service and training for physicians, from the laboratory to the OR.

The company developed a cutting-edge portfolio and, simultaneously, established high service levels based on proximity and training in the latest and most advanced medical techniques in the following fields:

Therapeutic and Conventional Endoscopy
Vascular Surgery, Gynecology and Urology

In 2019, SAESCO began expanding into other regions of Europe with its first acquisition:

Medispar: a Belgium distributor of medical devices for Obesity Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Therapeutic and Bariatric Endoscopy and Gynecology.

In 2021 and 2022, the SAESCO GROUP continued its inorganic growth and European expansion with four additional acquisitions:

Pelvitec: A leading Dutch distributor of Urology medical devices.
HMS Endo: Polish distributor of Urology and Minimally Invasive Surgery products as well as devices for Therapeutic and Bariatric Endoscopy.
Medical Dynamics and Verdi Healthcare: Leading Dutch distributors of products for Gynecology and Obstetrics, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Urology.

In 2023, SAESCO GROUP moved forward on integrating the acquired businesses, continuing organic growth initiatives while continuing to develop a solid pipeline of acquisitions and vendor partners. Integration included the creation of two new centralized logistics centers, one in Utrecht, Netherlands and the other in Vilassar de Mar, Barcelona, Spain for Iberia.

In 2024, SAESCO GROUP welcomed two additional companies to the group while continuing to develop cross-selling of our product portfolio throughout our sales network and to centralize back-office financial and administrative functions:

Fixaplus: Spanish distributor of devices mainly focused on Colorectal Surgery and Laparoscopy.
Dimed: Leading Italian distributor of Urology and Gynecology products that opens the Italian market to the Saesco Group.

In 2025, SAESCO GROUP took a giant step forward with a merger with two companies that more than doubled the size of the group and an investment from Miura Partners, a leading Spanish private equity group.

Cardiolink: Large Spanish distributor of medical devices in General Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, Proctology, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
Rivolution: Fast-growing German distributor of Minimally Invasive Surgery products with a focus on endo staplers. This acquisition marks an important entry point into the large German and DACH market.

With the investment of Miura Partners, SAESCO GROUP is guaranteed the financial and operational support to continue rapid growth in compelling clinical areas.

This same year, SAESCO looked towards Europe and on January 2019 completed its first acquisition:

Medispar, a Belgium distributor of medical devices for Obesity Surgery, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Therapeutic and Bariatric Endoscopy and Ginecology.

In 2021 SAESCO GROUP started a build-up process and European expansion through four additional acquisitions in 2022:

Pelvitec. Dutch leading distributor of Urology medical devices.
HMS Endo: Polish distributor of Urology and Minimally Invasive Surgery as well as Therapeutic and Bariatric Endoscopy.
Medical Dynamics and Verdi Healthcare: Dutch Leading distributors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Urology.

In 2023, SAESCO GROUP consolidated the perimeter while continued developing a solid pipeline. Main projects during 2023 were: the creation of a logistic center in Utrecht for Central Europe, a new logistic center in Vilassar de Mar (Barcelona) for Iberia; continuing with the intense integration process.
